Community Events & Programs

We offer a variety of community events and programs!

PUCK offers workshops that teach food safety, food literacy, and food preparation skills.

PUCK is creating nutritious meals for Caledon Community Services’ “The Exchange.”

We also provide a superior space for Caledon organizations such as Peel 4H, Palgrave Guiding, and Caledon Meals on Wheels. With ample seating and flexible arrangements, our venue can accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger groups, ensuring your event runs smoothly.

Health and Wellness Programs

Palgrave United Community Kitchen (PUCK) began to expand our reach in the community by offering health and wellness programs in addition to our much-loved cooking programs in 2020. Now, as a community hub for Palgrave and the surrounding areas, we continue to offer an even wider range of inclusive programs for all ages within the Caledon region.

PUCK operates a Peel Health certified commercial kitchen that is fully equipped to offer cooking programs and events to the community. We run various cooking programs at the kitchen either through partnerships with Eco Caledon, Albion Hills Community Farm, or other community groups. In addition, the kitchen is available for rent by organizations and individuals who wish to run their own workshops or sell their products to the public.

      Events

      Dirt to Delicious (D2D)

Day Camp is for campers 8-12 years of age and is a partnership between PUCK and Albion Hills Community Farm (AHCF).  Campers typically spend four days at the kitchen at Palgrave United Church learning to cook healthy meals and snacks using local ingredients, and engaging in outdoor activities.  At AHCF, campers visit the chickens, and depending on timing, see the monarch meadow and beehives.  They learn about food production and soil.

2026 camp dates will be posted in spring, 2026.

Caledon Junior Bake Off – Registration Full

A 2-day workshop for aspiring bakers, who will work in teams to make cookies, muffins and fruit pies/crumbles.  Bakers will learn how adding vegetables such as zucchini adds to the flavour, texture and nutritional value.

      PD Day Programs

PUCK is hoping to run one-day cooking or baking workshops during PDSB and DBCDSB Professional Development days.  Check our website in September 2025 for information.
