SUMMARY:Palgrave Forest Bathing (Walking Meditation) Wed  9:30 - 11:30 am
DESCRIPTION:Join a small group for a guided 2 hours  of Forest Bathing. In Japan\, the practice is called shinrin-yoku\, literally bathing in the forest atmosphere\, and taking in the forest through our senses.  You’ll learn how to find stillness\, awareness and the numerous health benefits. By opening our senses\, it bridges the gap between us and the natural world. \nInvolves walking on uneven ground\, walking stick optional. 2 hour.  Sign up for 1 week – we will offer more weeks if waiting list.  Maximum 8 participants.   Wed July 21 – 9:30-11:30 am.   Please meet at the main parking lot of Palgrave Forest (west side of Hwy 50) at 9:45 am to be screened for current COVID19 symptoms.  Please bring a mask to wear but our intent is that participants will be outdoors and at least 2m (6′) apart.  You may carry a water bottle with you or have one in your car when you return at 11 am.   Please note that the activity is on uneven terrain but their will be stops.  Fitness level required would be beginner.   If weather is extreme (thunderstorms or severe heat) event will be cancelled.

SUMMARY:2021 D2D Camper Registration
DESCRIPTION:Please register for D2D Camper 2021 by completing above registration form.  D2D 2021 Day Camp is for campers 8-13 years of age and will run for one week between Mon August 9 – Friday August 13\, 2021 from 9:00-4:00pm at Albion Hills Community Farm (entrance 16555 Humber Station Road). Before attending camp\, campers must sign a COVID19 Visitors Form. Campers must also be screened daily (screening form sent prior to arriving on site). D2D will follow current Provincial health guidelines (which could change prior to camp start August 9 2021. Upon registration and payment\, campers will be sent more details. Please note: all campers will bring their own lunch and snacks as well as masks\, closed toed shoes\, hat\, water and refillable water bottles. It is recommended that campers wear loose light long sleeve and pants (if not wearing then bring in backpack). Sunscreen and hats and bug repellent are advised. Campers will have a location to store backpack. Campers are also advised that any cellphones brought to camp are used for photography or calling home in emergencies (staff have phones for emergencies). DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your support of Palgrave United Community Kitchen`s FRESH LUNCH program.   Due to the COVID19 Pandemic and the cancelling of the 2019/2020 in school learning\, we would like to offer you a $15 credit towards an opportunity to participate in our popular summer cooking camp DIRT 2 DELICIOUS!   This summer we will offering VIRTUAL D2D Camp starting May 27\, 2020 until August 19\, 2020 – 14 weeks of cooking connections which includes a bi-weekly curbside pickup at Palgrave United Church (alternate Wednesdays between 3-6pm).  D2D Virtual camp is suitable for 8 – 14 year old campers (family friendly). \nPlease choose one of the following options for your $15 credit (refund): \n\n Register by May 22 to receive 7 curbside camp boxes and participate in 14 weeks of D2D camp.    $150 – $15 = $135.00 total  Each additional family member camper will pay $90.\n Register by May 22 to try our introductory box on May 27 – $30 – $15 = $15 total per camper.\n Register for either June\, July or August paying $50 – $15 credit = $35 for first month.  If interested in additional months – $50 each month.\n Donate $15 to Palgrave United Church Community Kitchen to use for D2D Camp Programming.   A tax receipt will be issued.\n Request refund of $15 by June 30 2020.  A cheque will be mailed to your home address provided.\n\nPLEASE COMPLETE a Refund Request for each FRESH LUNCH $15 refund.     THANK YOU for participating and have a safe summer ! \nMeredith Taylor\,   Fresh Lunch Co-ordinator\nPalgrave United Community Kitchen 2020
